Jesus was able to resist temptation , and had no sin. He was able to suffer and die in our place, to pay for our sin. As our scape-goat, He became the blood sacrifice for all of the wrong we ever did. The wages of sin is death, but Jesus paid the debt. He rose to life again to prove He has power and authority over death. He has the power to give life forever to anyone who is truly sorry for their sins, and wants to do what is right. We cannot do what is right by ourselves. We cannot save our selves, but the blood of Christ covers our sins, and we appear as perfect in the sight of God.
Romans 5:8 But God commands His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.
I Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brothers, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; By which also you are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
The Grace of God is that we get what we do not deserve, and cannot earn. God provides Eternal Life as a free gift. Jesus has already paid the price and purchased our salvation with His own blood. Jesus has already done all that can be done to purchase our pardon. All we can do is accept Jesus as Savior, and give ourselves to Him. He wants us to live for Him. God has a beautiful plan for your life. We must repent of our sin, accept Jesus as savior, and seek to do God’s will for our life. He wants our total faith, and commitment to obey Him. Only when we give Him full control, can He give us the peace in our hearts, and the joyful meaning, hope, direction, and purpose that we all need in order to be fulfilled and happy children of the living God.
It is important that we make a public confession that Jesus is our Savior. That is why the church invites us to come up front, and tell the people that we accept Jesus as Savior. You will know for sure you are saved, because you know for sure that you have done what the Bible (the word of God) says. Now that we know the truth, we have a responsibility to tell others about the Good News of the gospel of salvation. Wouldn’t it be awful if we knew someone was asleep in a burning building, and we didn’t even try to wake them up, or get them out? We must warn others that without Jesus, they have no hope of salvation.
