Respecting Your Body – A Biblical Study Part – XI

Colossians 3:5-6 (KJV) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
1 Corinthians 6:14-20 (KJV) And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith He, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
God Loves you enough to send His only begotten son Jesus to die in your place.
Every one of us has sin and disobedience in our lives, that causes us to fall short of the glory of God. Although the result of sin and disobedience against God is death, God offers us the gift of life. Because of God’s powerful love for us, Jesus died in our place to pay our debt of death. He took our place by dieing on the cross for our sins and disobedience. After Jesus died, He was buried, and rose up alive again on the third day, proving that God has power over life and death. This is why God’s Word the Bible says we are bought with a price. Jesus paid our debt, and bought us back.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Nobody else can tell you what to do, But God has a wonderful plan for your life. It is wise to listen to those you know are experienced and wise, and that you know care about your future happiness. You are very blessed if you have a parent or close friend who loves you, and is trying to help you. Consider all they have to say.
